This course is a core requirement for anyone providing service to an APD client and meets the APD requirement for training. \nCourse Overview:\nThe Zero Tolerance Training is organized into the following modules: \n\nModule 1: Defining Abuse\, Neglect\, and Exploitation of Persons with Developmental Disabilities\nModule Description: In this section you’ll learn what actions can be defined as abuse\, neglect and exploitation. You’ll also learn about some reasons why caregivers mistreat those in their care. They are responsible for implementing behavioral plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and collecting and charting data on the progress and improvement in the abilities of the clients they work with.\nThis course is advanced training that consists of 40 hours of in-person skills instruction provided by Board Certified Analysts with over 15 years of clinical and training experience.\nThe focus on the instruction will be on The Second Edition\, Registered Behavior Technician Task List\, published by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Instruction topics include: \n\nMeasurement\nAssessment\nSkill acquisition\nBehavior reduction\nDocumentation\, Reporting\, and Professional Conduct\nEthics\nScope of practice\n\nParticipants will not only learn terminology\, concepts\, and methods but will be continuously engaged in role playing scenarios to work towards application and skill competency. A small class instructor-to-participant ratio will allow participants to receive individualized attention and ongoing feedback.
