DESCRIPTION:Course Summary\n\nSchedule\nDates: Three (3) consecutive Saturdays — February 7\, 14\, & 21 \nTime: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM (includes a working lunch) \nFormat: Attend In-person or on Zoom \nAttendance: Full participation in all sessions is required to meet the 20-hour APD training requirements. \n\nRegistration Cost: $200\nIncludes:\n\nLecture Notes\nPractice Worksheets\nVisual Study Guides\nCertificate of Completion (The participant is responsible for ensuring they receive ongoing supervision of a qualified behavior analyst supervisor – as deemed by APD)\n\n\nAbout the Course\nThis 20-hour introductory course in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) meets the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) requirements for Behavior Assistants. \nLed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with clinical and training experience\, instruction is delivered over three consecutive Saturdays\, available in person or live via Zoom. \nThis training is ideal for: \n\nIndividuals working as Behavior Assistants seeking APD certification\nDirect support professionals\, teachers\, therapists\, and caregivers who want to strengthen their ABA knowledge\n\nWhat You’ll Learn\nThis course focuses on understanding and applying key ABA principles\, including how to: \n\nIdentify and respond appropriately to behaviors\nUse proactive strategies to prevent problem behaviors\nTeach adaptive and functional skills to individuals and groups\nUnderstand the role of a Behavior Assistant as a paraprofessional in ABA services\nApply evidence-based interventions and technologies\nBuild effective relationships through reinforcement and pairing\n\n  \nNote: \n\nSmall class sizes ensure personalized instruction and individual feedback from experienced trainers.\nAfter completing this 20-hour course\, participants can continue for three additional Saturdays to complete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training—a seamless next step to deepen your skills.
