ARC Broward Welcomes New Director of ARC Broward Learning Institute

ARC Broward, a not-for-profit human services organization dedicated to providing services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, is pleased to announce Derek Stein as its new director of the ARC Broward Learning Institute, a mission-based enterprise of ARC Broward. In this role, Stein will oversee all operations and work on strategic growth opportunities for the Learning Institute. Stein will also lead outreach efforts, as well as develop curricula and activities to ensure a quality educational experience for students.

“We are very excited to welcome Derek Stein to our staff as the new director of the ARC Broward Learning Institute,” said ARC Broward President/CEO Dennis Haas, Esq. “With his combined experience of post-secondary academic advising, recruitment, and management, he will make a great addition to the ARC Broward Learning Institute team.”

Stein joins ARC Broward after serving as the school leader of a charter high school based in Broward County. His proven track record in program leadership has resulted in recognition by his peers. His background also includes teacher recruitment, academic advising, student retention, SACS accreditation, developing community partnerships and nurturing relationships with government agencies. He is proud to say that he has helped more than four hundred graduates to successfully enter post-secondary programs.

Stein earned a Bachelor’s degree in business from Florida Atlantic University and holds a Master’s degree in education from Nova Southeastern University.
