SUNRISE, FL – (December 5, 2016) – Melissa Gousse, Training and Career Development Manager, at ARC Broward’s Center for Financial Stability (CFS), recently completed the necessary coursework and subsequent case review activities at Cornell University’s K. Lisa Yan and Hock E. Tan Institute on Employment and Disability and is now credentialed as a Work Incentive Practitioner.
This intensive certification process was nearly a year-long endeavor and represents high quality service provision and expertise in work incentives. Work incentives pave the way to work and financial independence for recipients of public benefits. All public benefits programs and pensions provide incentives for recipients with disabilities to return to work.
Melissa’s certification is an example of how the CFS program strives to assist individuals with disabilities to earn, keep and grow assets while remaining employed, out of poverty and achieving self-sufficiency.
A graduate from Florida Atlantic University with dual degrees in Sociology and Intercultural and Organizational Communication, she recently celebrated her 8 year anniversary at ARC Broward.
