Arc Broward, a Broward nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities, recently observed National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The organization also encouraged local mayors and city commissioners to participate in recognizing the awareness month, with proclamations made throughout the county including Tamarac.
The annual awareness campaign’s purpose is to educate the community about disability employment issues, as well as highlight the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
