KAPLAN HIGHER EDUCATION EMPLOYEES DONATE 1000 GIFTS TO ARC BROWARD

Coworker’s Daughter Inspires Eight Year of Giving

In the spirit of the holiday season, Kaplan Higher Education employees provided a total of 1,000 gifts to 392 children and adults at Arc Broward, as part of Kaplan’s support of Angel Tree initiative. The special wish list gifts, were hand delivered to each preschool classroom by Santa Claus and the Kaplan staff on Thursday, December 13th.

“We are incredibly grateful for this long-standing partnership with Kaplan Higher Education. Thanks to their support and generosity, we are bringing an immense amount of joy to our participants during the holiday season,” said Dennis Hass, Arc Broward President/CEO.

KHE’s participation in Project Angel Tree was inspired in 2011 by Arc Broward preschool student Maddie Kilgore, daughter of Scott Kilgore, KHE’s chief relationship officer. Scott encourages colleagues to support the activity and it has grown ever since. This year is KHE’s highest level of engagement yet with over 300 employees providing gifts. About 16 employees were selected to participate in the gift exchange activities to Arc Broward students on Thursday.

“Maddie continues to touch so many lives for the better,” said Scott Kilgore, KHE’s chief relationship officer. “I am proud of my colleagues who are so incredibly generous to these special children. Kaplan fosters a culture of employee engagement and community support. I’m really touched that the organization that has meant so much to my daughter and family is the beneficiary of this outpouring of holiday spirit.”
