Arc Broward Announces Key Leadership Promotions and New Hire

Leaders recognized for their dedication and impact in advancing the organization’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities

SUNRISE, Florida – Arc Broward announces a series of leadership promotions across multiple divisions, recognizing the dedication, expertise and continued impact of several team members whose contributions have been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission to strengthen the community by empowering people with disabilities to grow, develop and thrive.

The following promotions include:

Emily Schmitz – Vice President of Adult Services
Emily Schmitz, formerly director of adult services, has been promoted to vice president of adult services. Since joining Arc Broward in 2006, Schmitz has led programs including Adult Day, Group Homes, Barc ICF, Transportation, Social Services and Nursing. In her new role, she will focus on continued program growth, team development and quality outcomes for participants and residents.

Carla Sanoir – Director of Arc Educates
Carla Sanoir, previously manager of Arc Educates, has been promoted to director. She oversees post-secondary certificate programs in Animal Care, Culinary Arts and Material Handling, as well as expanded training in healthcare and hospitality. Sanoir also manages operations for the new Hospitality with Purpose program at Château Mar Golf Resort in Lauderhill.

Craig Zeleznik – Chief Culinary Officer
Craig Zeleznik, formerly director of culinary enterprises, has been promoted to chief culinary officer. With over 25 years of experience, he leads Arc Culinary’s strategic growth and operations, including catering and café ventures at Château Mar Golf Resort. Zeleznik oversees business development, innovation and client relations, ensuring culinary standards, brand integrity and profitability across all food service lines.

Chef Alvaro Cabrera – Director of Culinary Operations
Chef Alvaro Cabrera, previously general manager of culinary, has been promoted to director of culinary operations. He provides strategic direction for catering, food service management and hotel outlets, emphasizing innovation, efficiency and guest experience. Cabrera also leads the popular experience dinners at the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Innovation Kitchen, enhancing Arc Culinary’s reputation for excellence.

Maggie Anzardo – Catering Sales Manager
Maggie Anzardo joins Arc Culinary as catering sales manager, bringing 15+ years of experience in marketing and sales across tourism, retail and real estate. She will increase visibility for Arc Culinary’s catering and venue rentals. Anzardo previously led tourism and events at Dania Pointe and held marketing roles with Broward Mall and Southland Mall.
