ASHI Instructor Course (Train the Trainer)

Become a certified American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Instructor. We are offering a special class for those interested in becoming a certified ASHI Instructor to teach others the following courses:
•    CPR and AED for Adults, Children and Infants
•    First Aid w/ Universal Precaution
•    HIV/AIDS and Bloodborne Pathogens.

This is a Blended Learning course: The online information will be emailed to you the week before the face-to-face class.  The online portion must be successfully completed prior to the Face-to-Face class on October 26, 2024 at 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

Arc Educates is now offering a Blended learning course for those who are interested in becoming a certified American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Instructor. After taking this course, you will be certified to teach CPR and AED for Adults, Children and Infants, First Aid w/ Universal Precaution, and HIV/AIDS and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Pre-Requisites:

Participants should already possess a current, valid student level certification within the training area that the candidate wishes to teach.

Course Method

 The ASHI Instructor Course is a blended course. Blended learning begins with online training to cover the cognitive knowledge of the course, followed by a face-to-face session with an Instructor Trainer for hands-on instructional skill practice and evaluation.

Registration closes on October 20, 2024.

Face-to-Face class is on October 26, 2024 at 9:00AM to 3:00PM, at Arc Broward Sunrise Campus Building 2.

In the face-to-face class, you will need to show two essential skills:

• CPR – compression and rescue breath
• Teaching

As part of the assessment, you’ll be preparing a 10-minute presentation. Pick a topic from either CPR or First Aid, and make sure to bring some materials for your presentation—whether it’s a PowerPoint, whiteboard, handouts, or anything else.

Here are a few ideas to help you choose and start preparing your presentation: (Time will be allowed in class to prepare if needed)

• External bleeding
• Environmental emergencies
• Heart Attack
• Poisoning
• Neck, head, and spinal injuries
• Stroke
• Seizure
• Compression
• Rescue Breath

Instructor candidates are notified by email of enrollment in the online portion of the training.

**The online portion MUST to be completed before the face-to-face portion of the training.
