Course Description
You will learn how to analyze challenging behavior, gather data, and learn techniques for positive behavior support.
Class Objectives
- Describe and discuss the purpose of a behavioral analysis.
- Understand that there is always a function to challenging behavior, and for it to persist it must be meeting a need.
- Describe the basic elements of the functional assessment process.
- Discuss the importance of developing a positive and supportive relationships with the person served and understanding the person’s precipitating factors.
