The Broward County Broward Bar Association Young Lawyers Section is proud to announce ARC Broward as its charitable beneficiary for its 27th annual charity golf tournament. All proceeds from the tournament and its events will be donated to the ARC Broward Preschool. The event will kick off with a Tee-Off Happy Hour at Grille 401 in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., and the golf tournament will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation at 8:00 a.m. ARC Broward is a not-for-profit human services organization dedicated to providing services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and other life challenges. Each year, the Broward County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section board of directors chooses a different local nonprofit organization providing services to children as its golf tournament beneficiary. “We are honored to be chosen as the beneficiary of the Young Lawyers Section’s annual charity golf tournament and looking forward to helping raise much needed funds for our preschool,” said ARC Broward President/CEO Dennis Haas. Each player ticket price includes a complimentary breakfast buffet prior to the shotgun tee start, unlimited complimentary beverages served on the course, and specialty drink and culinary stands positioned at holes throughout the course. All golfers will participate in contest such as longest drive, straightest drive and closest-to-the-hole for prizes. There will also be a putting contest for prizes and a hole-in-one contest for a chance to win a brand new Jaguar, courtesy of Alpine Jaguar. Following the tournament, there will be a lunch buffet and awards ceremony, with the chance to win raffle prizes and bid on fabulous silent auction items.
