Superstar in the IT Asset Industry

Renald Dessources continues to thrive at Arc Tech.

He may not be a performer or athlete, but by definition, Renald Dessources is a superstar!  He is definitely one who enjoys wide recognition, is esteemed for exceptional talent and is eagerly sought after for his services.

For nearly six years as Arc Tech’s IT Supervisor, Renald has led by example, continued to learn his craft and mentored numerous young adults enrolled in Arc Broward’s Material Handler Program.

A native of Haiti, Renald moved to the United States in 2008. He has several years of college experience, mostly in electronic engineering in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and from Broward College and Atlantic Technology College in South Florida. He also has his A+ and Microsoft Refurbishing certifications.

His passion for technology quickly landed him his job with Arc Tech, where he has earned his superstar status.

During his time with the mission-based enterprise, Renald has performed a wide variety of tasks – from driving trucks and forklifts to taking inventory, testing computers, wiping hard drives and refurbishing IT assets. He is proud of his accomplishments, including assisting Arc Tech’s transition from a paper inventory environment to now utilizing a sophisticated, comprehensive auditing and reporting system.

He has also made tremendous suggestions how the organization can generate revenue through its IT asset recovery services. “I am blessed to be given the opportunities for professional growth,” he said. “However, it’s the relationships I have shared that makes working here more like a family.”

Renald has a passion to teach the Material Handler students, who are enrolled in a 12-week post-secondary program preparing them for entry-level positions in a light industrial/warehouse setting.

One of the former students, Zach, was eventually hired full-time as an Associate Computer Technician. “Zach was one of my early success stories. He is now one of our best technicians and is like a brother to me,” Renald said. “I am honored to work at Arc Tech. It’s a rewarding career!”

“Renald leads a an exceptional group IT professionals who mimic his attention to detail and overall love for our mission. He is an essential part of the IT Asset Recovery family and is a pleasure to work with, I am excited for what the future holds for him and his team,” Arc Tech Director Tomas Leon said.
