Miss Arc Broward Pageant Celebrates Confidence, Inclusion, and Dreams Come True

The spotlight was shining bright as young girls and teens with disabilities took center stage at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale for the 12th Annual Miss Arc Broward Pageant, presented by Princess Cruises. The beloved community event celebrates acceptance, confidence, and the power of inclusion.

This 2025 pageant crowned Gianna Gallagher, 13, of Coral Springs, as Miss Arc Broward, and Emily Garcia, 7, of Pembroke Pines, as Little Miss Arc Broward. Gianna captivated the judges with her performance of “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” from Hamilton, while Emily charmed the audience with her dance to “I Love to Read the Bible.”

More Than a Competition

The Miss Arc Broward Pageant is the culmination of a season filled with mentorship, friendship, and empowerment. Through special programs and events, participants build self-esteem and discover their strengths in an environment that celebrates who they are.

“Whether someone has attended the pageant before or it’s their first time, it’s impossible to leave untouched by the sense of belonging that defines this event,” said Julie Price, Arc Broward CEO. “It’s not just a pageant—it’s a celebration of resilience, determination, and courage.”

Event co-chairs Natalie Glusman and Candace Kelley led this year’s efforts, with Glusman also serving as emcee. “The Miss Arc Broward Pageant shows everyone that anything is possible,” she said. “Thanks to our sponsors, judges, teen ambassadors, and the community, we’re helping turn dreams into reality.”

Building Confidence and Community

Each contestant was paired with a teen ambassador from one of more than a dozen local schools who served as a mentor and cheerleader throughout the pageant journey. More than 800 family members, friends, and supporters filled the theater to celebrate the contestants’ courage and talent.

Highlights included a special appearance by last year’s Little Miss Arc Broward, Mikayla Golka, who dazzled the audience with her bedazzled hockey stick and signature Florida Panthers flair.

Proceeds from the event support Arc Broward’s programs and services, which empower children and adults with disabilities and other life challenges to live, learn, work, and thrive.
