Registered Behavior Technicians work in home-care environments, in centers, or in schools providing one-on-one therapy and behavioral assistance to those diagnosed with autism, other developmental disabilities, and behavioral disorders. They are responsible for implementing behavioral plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and collecting and charting data on the progress and improvement in the abilities of the clients they work with.
20-hour Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis meets APD’s requirements for Behavior Assistants. Instruction is provided over 3 Saturdays through In-person and/or live Zoom Conference by Board Certified Behavior Analysts with clinical and training experience.
