Animal Care Certificate Curriculum
Arc Broward’s Animal Care curriculum helps adults with disabilities develop the knowledge and skills they need to meet the increasing demand for qualified animal care assistants and pet care professionals.
Once students complete the program they are prepared to explore a broad range of career possibilities, including working in animal shelters, veterinary clinics, pet grooming facilities, pet boarding facilities, or pet retail environments.
This curriculum focuses on practical animal care skills and professional development where students can apply learning immediately to provide excellent care for dogs and cats—in shelters, in veterinary settings, and beyond.
Upon completion, they’ll be prepared to earn their American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Certification, further enhancing their professional credentials and employability.
